Review:

I would like to give this book a title, “A book that will keep you on your toes”.

The book by Miss Podder was really an interesting read. I liked the concept with which the mystery has been formed and its narration becomes an integral part of book writing thus, been well executed by the author.

Before You Breathe is a well crafted and recounted book. The book started on an interesting note when a burglary took place in a small place like Ramsar, a place known for its lowest crime rate. A small robbery but nothing was stolen and everyone starts talking about it. A scene is created when a bloodier act takes place thus, creating a havoc in the peaceful hills of Ramsar.

From here begins the race for finding the truth behind the mystery and to get the culprit involved in it, out in the public. A murder mystery with the main characters fighting with their won past which keeps popping up in their lives to threaten their rationality. Colonel Acharya the protagonist is aware of all the tactics and strategies to get his hands to the nook of the mystery and help making Ramsar peaceful again.

I liked the concept of the story and also the thing that the characterization was limited, hence not creating any confusion while reading it. One can finish this book in a single sitting without getting bored. But, what I think is that, there could have been a lot more in this plot to make it more enthralling. This book is more of a children sort rather than adults. If you are looking for some suspense and drama then beginners can surely go for this book for its simple and lucid language.
